This pack contains:

-11 herb species

-9 shrub species

-1 set of dead leaves

All of the species included come with at least 5 variations and up to 25 for the biggest ones.

The assets are ready to go so that in a matter clicks, your scene will be full of plants !

I plan to create a new species everyweek.

These assets were made to be used in Blender and with the Cycles engine.

All the plant models can be found into the .blend files. Thus, you don't need to install any software appart from Blender to start using the library.

In additon, you have some .png files which are the previews for each species. I recommend you to work with the Simple Asset Manager to import the assets into your project as it will detect those previews and show them to you.

There are 2 main folders in the file: Nature Assets and Nature Assets Files.

- The first one contains all the assets with the .blend files (the textures are packed within) and their previews only. This is the directory that you should use to import the assets.

They are divided into 3 categories: Dead Leaves, Herbs and Shrubs with a folder for each. My goal is to add to those 3 categories, 3 other ones (trees, climbers and creepers) in order to have assets for all types of plants. I have already about 5 species for both the creepers and the climbers but I am still developping some nodes for Animation Node which will allow to recreate these categories easily and faithfully.

- The second one contains all the files I used in the process of creating the assets. This includes raw scans, color and normal map. Furthermore, you can find all of the models built procedurally as I use a procedural workflow before applying the modifiers to get the final models which are in the first folder. Previews are not included in that folder.

If you would like to support me:

First, if you have any ideas or corrections you think I should bring to the assets, feel free to let me know. I am opened to critism if it is a way to make my assets look better and more realistic.

Secondly, if you like the assets, you can help me financially. Indeed, there are a few pieces of hardware that I would desperately need which include :

- A light table which would allow me to create photo-realistic translucency maps as well as custom bark textures. I would gratly improve the quality of the assets. I would build it from raw materials for an estimated cost of 50$ to 75$.

- A Graphic Tablet which would help me remove the background a lot. Indeed, I currently create the alpha mask using a simple which is not confortable and precis at all (I cannot play dynamically with the eraser's size). It would cost me about 90$.

So, if you can afford to drop even a few cents, that would be greatly appreciated and feel rewarding for the douzens of hours that went into making the assets.
